Portrait Series I produced these portraits in the beginning part of 2010. I had been offered a solo show and instead of creating work to fit into a conceptual theme as I usually do I wanted to step away from that and create some simple portraits. The people portrayed are friends or people from the local Los Angeles art scene. All are done with stencils, spray paint and various other mixed materials including glass, reclaimed electrical wire, mirror, resin, wood, particle board, plastic tubing, and duct tape.
