Elin was born in Hedvig Eleonora parish, Stockholm's County. Elin had 3 sisters; Lilly (b. 1894), Greta (maybe short for Margareta), and Marta. Elin is the 2nd oldest. Greta had two children, Steig, and Vera (deceased). Elin had an older 1st cousin named Elna Samualson. Elna was Elin's sponsor to the US. Elin received her passport 14 June 1923 and came to the States in September from Solna which is a town close to Stockholm to the North West, where she was living and working. She then came to Chicago where Elna was living, I assume. In October of 1926 Elin was married to Valentin Clarens Nilsson (Clarence Nelson) in Chicago, Il. Their only child Mona was born in October of 1928.
